At Sixth Hour Missions, we move beyond the limitations of short-term trips to foster deep, Christ-centered connections. We unite mission partners, local churches, and sent teams in long-term, trustworthy partnerships rooted in mutual support and shared purpose.
Local leaders understand their communities in ways we never will, and the goal of a partnership is not to make them dependent on an American organization that can leave. Our job is to strengthen what they've already built, to hold ourselves and our churches to a standard of honesty about it, and to connect that work to congregations willing to stand with them for years rather than for a week.
What we don't do
We don't run programs overseas. We don't plant our own ministries, hire our own field staff, or put our name on work that belongs to someone else.
If we do this well, the partners we serve become less reliant on us over time, not more.
Why the Name Sixth Hour Missions?
The “sixth hour”—high noon—holds deep spiritual significance in Scripture, representing moments of profound encounter and ultimate sacrifice. In John 4, it was at the sixth hour that Jesus met the woman at the well, a moment of transformation where truth was revealed and a life was changed forever. It was also during the sixth hour that darkness fell over the land at the crucifixion of Jesus, marking the ultimate act of redemption for all humanity. Sixth Hour Missions exists for these moments: where lives are changed through connection, truth, and the enduring work of Christ.
Connecting mission partners, local churches, and sent teams in mutual support and shared purpose to fulfill the Great Commission through Christ-centered ministry — meeting real needs, building lasting relationships, and reflecting the love and sacrifice of Jesus.

We prioritize heart-to-heart connections over project checklists. “A threefold cord is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)—we believe that mission work is most transformational when built on mutual trust and shared life.
