Connecting People with Purpose
At Sixth Hour Missions, we move beyond the limitations of short-term trips to foster deep, Christ-centered connections. We unite mission partners, local churches, and missionaries in long-term, trustworthy partnerships rooted in mutual support and shared purpose.
Our Story
Sixth Hour Missions was founded out of a simple, persistent observation: the world is full of people who want to help and people who desperately need that help, but the bridge between them is often fragile or non-existent. Our founders saw the limitations of transactional missions—assignments focused on short-term projects rather than the depth of real relationships. We realized that true, sustainable impact doesn't happen during a single week abroad; it happens through shared life and mutual accountability.
We shifted our focus toward long-term partnerships rooted in Christ-centered trust. Sixth Hour exists to bring structure, integrity, and intentionality to the mission space—serving as the vital link that ensures churches, mission partners, and individuals are moving together in shared purpose. By providing the coordinating infrastructure and logistical support needed, we empower the 'mission triad' to fulfill the Great Commission with clarity, building lasting relationships that reflect the heart of Christ.
Why the Name Sixth Hour Missions?
The “sixth hour”—high noon—holds deep spiritual significance in Scripture, representing moments of profound encounter and ultimate sacrifice. In John 4, it was at the sixth hour that Jesus met the woman at the well, a moment of transformation where truth was revealed and a life was changed forever. It was also during the sixth hour that darkness fell over the land at the crucifixion of Jesus, marking the ultimate act of redemption for all humanity. Sixth Hour Missions exists for these moments: where lives are changed through connection, truth, and the enduring work of Christ.
“Connecting mission partners, local churches, and missionaries in mutual support and shared purpose to fulfill the Great Commission through Christ-centered ministry—meeting real needs, building lasting relationships, and advancing sustainable impact.”
Mission Partner
Trusted organizations and leaders serving on the ground. They are the heart of the ministry, providing local insight and direct cultural engagement.
Our Mission Triad
Sixth Hour exists to connect and strengthen these three key components—creating alignment, accountability, and long-term impact across the globe.
Local Church
Communities sending, supporting, and engaging in mission. We help churches find meaningful ways to connect their congregation with global purpose.
Missionary / Individual
People called to go, serve, and build relationships. We provide the structure and support for individuals to use their gifts for the Great Commission.
Our Approach
Relationship-First
We prioritize heart-to-heart connections over project checklists. “A threefold cord is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)—we believe that mission work is most transformational when built on mutual trust and shared life.
Sustainable Commitments
Impact requires endurance. Moving beyond transactional mission trips, we focus on multi-year partnerships that ensure local growth remains sustainable and generational changes take deep root in the community.
Transparency & Trust
“The integrity of the upright guides them” (Proverbs 11:3). Integrity and radical transparency are at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every relationship and resource is handled with structural excellence and accountability.
Local Empowerment
We don't come to replace; we come to strengthen. By honoring local visionaries and cultural context, we provide the essential backbone infrastructure that empowers indigenous leaders to lead their own communities forward.
